CLEVELAND ― Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus has an audacious message for America: Just hold on. Donald Trump is coming to make everything better in November.

In his speech at the Republican National Convention Thursday, Priebus promised that Trump would put money into the pockets of ordinary Americans.

“Donald Trump wants to make sure you can pay the mortgage, put gas in the car and buy new clothes for the first day of school,” he said. “Donald Trump is committed to hitting terrorists hard and making the safety of every man, woman and child in America his number one priority.”

If Trump is elected, Priebus continued, America would not negotiate with terrorists: “If they want to take us down, we will take them down.”

“He will protect the Second Amendment, and every other right guaranteed in the Constitution, by appointing conservative justices to the Supreme Court,” he added. “And he’s going to protect the lives of the unborn. So I have a message to America: Hold on. Help is coming.”

With Trump and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, his vice presidential running mate, “America is ready for a comeback after almost a decade of [Hillary] Clinton-[Barack] Obama failures,” Priebus said in closing.
