Not only is the Senate trying to take health insurance away from 22 million Americans so they can give a tax break to those making $1 million or more per year, it turns out that one of the senators to vote on the bill, John McCain, has stopped the vote on the bill because he needs time to recover from some minor surgery.
I am not kidding.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced Saturday that he will delay consideration of health care legislation in light of Sen. John McCain’s absence from recent surgery.
McConnell, R-Ky., released a statement on Saturday night saying that he would defer action on the measure while McCain recovers at his home in Arizona.
“While John is recovering, the Senate will continue our work on legislative items and nominations, and will defer consideration of the Better Care Act,” McConnell said.
If any average person could stop the business of our national government because they had an illness, or even eye surgery, there would be not business done.
