Amid a growing global outcry, President Donald Trump on Wednesday suggested he would sign some sort of executive order that would stop U.S. immigration officials from separating children from parents who together illegally crossed the border from Mexico into the U.S., CNBC reported. Since the Trump administration’s crackdown on immigration ramped up in early May, at least 2,300 children have been separated from their parents. The Justice Department is pursuing federal charges against adults who have illegally crossed the border.
