Trump’s ‘America’ is Nothing but a Total Disgrace

I will admit, I was one of the people who thought Donald Trump had a zero chance of winning the U.S. Presidential election. It just seemed logical to me that any candidate for President of the United States who insulted and debased such large swaths of the voting population–Latinos, women, blacks, gays and just about anyone else who isn’t a white male–simply wouldn’t have enough supporters to win the election. It’s not just that Trump, in his effort to become the 45th President of the United States, insulted so many people to eventually become their leader, but that he thought–apparently rightly so–that he could go against Lady Liberty’s wishes, which of course, we all know say this: “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” I don’t about you, but something just doesn’t seem right here to me. We likely can’t change the results of the election, but we can make sure that Donald Trump does as little damage to our liberties as possible. However, if Trump is to be prevented from destroying the promise of America, he must be stopped soon. Just ponder what he has done in just three weeks as President of the United States that has debased and...

What Does Putin Have on Trump?

IMAGE CREDIT: BUSINESS INSIDER When America’s biggest welfare recipient won’t eat out of the hand that feeds him, you know something is wrong. Here is how USA Today explained Mitch’s problem with his new boss: Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he doesn’t view Russian President Vladimir Putin in the same way that President Trump does. During an interview on CNN’s State of the Union, the Kentucky Republican called Putin a “thug” and former KGB agent who was not elected in a way most would consider “a credible election.” Putin also invaded the sovereign nation of Ukraine and “messed around in our elections,” said McConnell. “I don’t think there’s any equivalency to the way the Russians conduct themselves and the way the United States does,” said McConnell. McConnell responded to Trump’s earlier comments. When Fox News host Bill O’Reilly asked Trump about allegations that Putin is “a killer” who targets his political enemies, Trump replied: “We got a lot of killers. You think our country’s so innocent?” So the only question that really needs to be answered here is what in the heck does Vladimir Putin have on Trump that would make Trump get on his knees for one of our biggest enemies?...

Trump Isn’t the President until We See His Tax Returns

Donald Trump is supposedly known for his ‘straight talk.’ Whether or not his talk is ‘straight’ is completely up for debate. But one thing that is loud and clear is the fact that until we know just exactly how entangled he is with foreign countries, especially Russia, we cannot know if we can trust him as President of the United States. So, the American people really need some straight talk from the guy who claims to be their president, when it comes to his relationship with a foreign leader who kills, rapes and pillages his own people. The same leader, Vladimir Putin, who Trump constantly praises, at the same time he berates every other world leader. What exactly does Putin have on Trump? It must be more than a ‘pee tape,’ it must be hugely dangerous. Until we see Donald Trump’s tax returns, which he refuses to show us, we will never really know if Trump is on the side of America or just another puppet of Vladimir...

The ‘So-Called’ Judge Just Called out the ‘So-Called’ President

There are a lot of reasons one could call President Trump a ‘so-called’ president. To start, there are questions surrounding his business dealings and how they could interfere with his presidency. You know, stay at a Trump hotel, Mr. head of state, and I will give you a much better ‘deal.’ Of course that deal would be on the average American’s dime, not Trump’s dime. So now we have a situation where President Trump has contested in Federal Court his Muslim travel ban. Trump’s response? That judge, a federal judge no less, is a ‘so-called’ judge. OK, that is beyond anything even Richard Nixon would ever say–he may have thought it, but he wouldn’t have said or tweeted it. Grow up, Donald Trump, whether we want it or not, you are the President of the United States....

Why Is Melania Trump Missing?

Read the full article here Washington (CNN)The West Wing has been churning out news non-stop since President Donald Trump took office, but the East Wing has quite literally remained dark. It’s been 12 days since the last public sighting of first lady Melania Trump, who had been planning on splitting her time between Washington and New York, where the couple’s son, Barron, is completing the school year. And when a solemn scene unfolded Wednesday afternoon as Trump boarded Marine One to pay his respects to a fallen service member’s family in Delaware, he was accompanied by first daughter, Ivanka — a reminder that she is his closest family in Washington. Melania Trump’s last public appearance was on January 21, when she went to the post-inauguration multi-faith prayer service at Washington’s National Cathedral. The next day, which coincided with the couple’s 12th wedding anniversary, Melania Trump returned to New York City, Barron in...

Trump Voters Think a ‘CEO’ President Is Good for Them–It’s Not

Sure, most Americans think that making money is a great thing and those who do it well are to be admired. After all, we are primarily a capitalist society. I am no different, unless when the only goal is to make money without a thought of the consequences of doing that alone are not a concern. It is easy to see why a broke and marginalized population, such as are most Trump supporters, would believe a billionaire–albeit one born that way–would make them feel good. Especially if that billionaire told them he would wave his ‘magic wand’ and fix all of their problems for them–kind of a daddy figure, if you will. The problem is, Donald Trump is hardly your daddy, and in fact, he is using you to make himself richer while making you think he cares about you. How much longer will you believe that adorable little fairy tale? Let’s hope for the future of America you will wake up from that naive...

All of a Sudden, Congressional Republicans Just Love ‘Executive Actions’

Atlantic Magazine put it well, when exposing the hypocrisy of Republicans in Congress when it comes to the matter of the use of ‘executive actions’ by a president: “There were few things that infuriated congressional Republicans more during Barack Obama’s eight years in the White House than the words “a pen and a phone.” They were shorthand for the president’s aggressive use of executive authority to go around a recalcitrant Congress and achieve his priorities unilaterally, whether on immigration, climate change, or how his administration implemented the Affordable Care Act.” Yet as of today, President Trump has signed 17 such proclamations, and not a peep from congressional Republicans. In the words of the SNL Church Lady: “Well isn’t that convenient?!’ Trump had no desire to drain a swamp, he just wanted to make it bigger and put his lousy name all over it....

BREAKING NEWS: President Trump fires Acting Attorney General Sally Yates; names new acting attorney general

WASHINGTON, DC — President Donald Trump fired acting U.S. attorney general Sally Yates on Monday, only hours after she said the U.S. Department of Justice would not defend the president’s controversial immigration ban. In a statement, Trump said Yates “has betrayed the Department of Justice by refusing to enforce a legal order designed to protect the citizens of the United States. This order was approved as to form and legality by the Department of Justice Office of Legal Counsel. “Ms. Yates is an Obama Administration appointee who is weak on borders and very weak on illegal immigration.” President Trump named Dana Boente, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia. This story is continuing to develop. (© 2017...
