Oh, John McCain wherever did he go wrong? He started out so nobly, the son of a four-star general, who was even born on a military base and enlisted to serve during the Vietnam War–when he was captured and tortured by the enemy.
He continued to impress, by running for the office of U.S. Senator, and he not only had won that office, he has served in that capacity since 1982, with his wife and $100 million Anheuser-Busch beer distribution heiress, Cindy, by his side the entire time. McCain even ran for President of the United States in the 2008 election, picking Sarah Palin as his running mate, but he lost that race to Barack Obama.
Now, McCain is in the fight of his life, at least politically, so that he can keep his Senate seat and he must confront an ugly reality: Should he support the Republican nominee for president, Donald Trump, the person who has said publicly that he thinks McCain is ‘a loser’ for being captured in Vietnam, or should he be honest with the country that made his wonderful life possible and denounce Trump completely? So far, it appears that McCain really is a wimp when it comes to standing up for what he believes.
