There is not a question here, Donald Trump must sell his business interests off to another party not related to his family, or he just cannot be President of the United States.
Now, I know he is still coming off the high of being born rich, entitled and thinking he can do whatever he wants to do. But something has changed here, he has been voted into the office–albeit questionably–of President of the United States.
There is one quite clear fact about who can occupy the highest office in the land, at least in the land of the brave and the free and the proud: You cannot use that office to enrich yourself as you help the people of the land.
We have never had a president with such a dangerous level of conflicting interests, when it comes to protecting the people of America, as we have with Donald Trump. Perhaps it wouldn’t be so dangerous if he didn’t own or control properties in countries that are the enemies of the U.S., but he does have such interests.
There is only one way he can take office, and that is if he sells his entire business empire to a party not connect with him or his family. PERIOD. Otherwise, he cannot be the President of the United States.
