Chaos is as much a part of Black Friday as the discounts.
This year has been no exception: Between Thursday and Friday, a Tulalip, Wash.-based Nike factory store at Seattle Premium Outlets was left look as if a “zombie apocalypse” had passed through, Instagram user Wannie Rodriguez commented.
A store worker who did not want to be named told BuzzFeed News that 20,000 people passed through the store between 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 p.m. Friday. Several Instagram and Twitter captured the carnage, showing shoes and clothes strewn about the floor. Some shoppers had to wade through knee-high piles of shoeboxes.
Seattle resident Larry Downer told BuzzFeed he couldn’t believe his eyes when he walked in. “I thought there was an earthquake that happened,” he added. “It was unreal.”
