Before we get into the fact that as a retired surgeon–apparently on brains–Ben Carson is the only black person Trump seems to be considering for any cabinet post or other role in his new administration. Let’s just take that in for a minute, Dr. Ben Carson, who frequently puts down any individual who needs a hand up because they are down on their luck, will now be in charge of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, also known as ‘H.U.D.’
H.U.D. is known as the department that helps poor black people get housing. The obvious point here is, how, on earth, does a retired brain surgeon know anything about housing and urban development? I have no idea, and I can guarantee you that neither do Trump nor Carson.
The entertaining part of this development is not just that Trump wants Carson to do a job Carson knows nothing about, but also that the only black person Trump is bringing into his inner circle is one who will help other blacks avoid homelessness. Is it just me, or is this just plain twisted?
