The media seems to think the concept of ‘fake news’ is something new. Perhaps they have never read the ‘Drudge Report,’ although I am pretty sure they all have.
So, then, what gives here? Fake news has been around at least as long as Matt Drudge has been dredging up dirty lies for his website, which has made him rich and famous.
Just take a look at his headline today, which implies, not so subtly, that Harry Reid was beaten up in an effort to throw him out of the Senate (he actually got that injury a year ago as he was working out with heavy weights).
It is time to throw Drudge out the window and start paying attention to facts and reality.
