Our president can hardly be called a leader. Trump tweets about people rather than ideas. Remember the famous quote mostly attributed to Eleanor Roosevelt:

“Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.”

Well, by that standard we all know how big Trump’s mind really is, or rather, how small.

It is rare that once a president of our country is elected and inaugurated that he is challenged to leave that office. It just is. Even though we now have a president who is clearly unfit for office, and spends more time tweeting about people he doesn’t like than actually legislating (quick, name one piece of legislation Trump has passed through Congress in his first 8 months), he will still likely be our president.

So the time has come, for Americans, Republicans, Democrats, Independents, whatever, to take our government back and actually make it work for us. Every day that goes by, and we pay billions in taxes for nothing to get done, is every day we can’t afford.

Trump will likely be in office for the full four years, but that doesn’t mean we can’t run our government so that it will help the average American. Call, write, e-mail, video Congress. Express your concerns. Tell them what to do. Do that here.

We can do this without Trump, and it won’t matter if he believes the White House is a dump, because we, the American people, respect each other and we respect what our government can do to rise all boats.
