CULT-LEADER JIM JONES FOLLOWERS DID WHAT HE TOLD THEM TO DO – KILL THEMSELVES
I have tried to wrap my mind around how it can be that so many people still support Donald Trump as President of the United States. I mean, it is scandal after scandal after scandal. Trump makes Richard Nixon’s crimes look like child’s play.
Yet these people still think Liddle Donnie is their savior. It is completely irrational, but it reminds me of how James Warren Jones, an American religious cult leader who, along with his inner circle, initiated a mass suicide and mass murder in Jonestown, Guyana. He was the founder and leader of the Peoples Temple cult which he began in Indiana during the 1950s.
If Trump supporters are looked at through the ‘Jim Jones’ lens, it is easier to understand their undying support – problem is, Trump has only one use for them and that is to gain power. Once he no longer needs them, he will dump them out like old, rotten trash and will laugh at them while he does it.
