America is in a tough place right now. We have a leader who won’t address, in a comforting way, that we are under siege by white supremacists. That’s sad. A real president would have spoken to the American public by now, after a week of deadly shootings, but all Trump can do is Tweet. And sometimes, he Tweets about sports while this is happening.
A real president should be consoling the public right now, and denouncing white supremacy. But Trump isn’t a real president, at least not one of the United States, and this is the beginning of the end of democracy unless a real leader speaks up and brings America back to being great.
