Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
Couldn’t put Humpty together again.
Sound familiar? Oh, how Congressional Republicans wanted full control–for years. They did all they could do to block everything President Obama wanted to accomplish. They just wanted, in the worst way, to control the government, because, you know, they would do so much more for America.
Well, guess what, Republicans still control the Senate and the Presidency. And even with all of that control, they couldn’t even ‘repeal and replace’ Obamacare, as they had promised they would do for seven years, if they ever got control of Congress. Then, just yesterday, we learn that Trump’s big wall is nothing but a big ‘fall.’
That was supposed to be the ‘easy lifting’ and they couldn’t even do that. It is clear, now, that Congressional Republicans, and our Republican president are about as effective at running the government as Humpty Dumpty was in staying on the wall.
