In the movie classic “Annie Hall,” the narrator tells the timeless joke of the two friends at a Catskills resort bemoaning the poor quality of the restaurant. “The food at this place is really terrible,” one observes. “I know,” replies her friend, “and such small portions.” Americans living through the dumpster fire that is Donald Trump’s presidency are rightly worried about whether our country will ever truly recover from it, and confront a similar conundrum: Is it more precise to characterize this administration as loathsome or a disgrace?
So now we have a problem, Donald Trump doesn’t give a shit about us, only him. What is worse is the fact that Donald will fuck America just to be his vision of the all-powerful king.
