I have been spending months trying to understand what the Republican buzzword, WOKE, actually means. I mean, I know they love to use the word to paint a picture of Democrats being weak, too concerned about other people, and casting shade on the idea that you should treat others as you wish to be treated.
I think the problem I am having is that Republicans are attempting to use that word to cover too many of their grievances. And I feel that approach has made the whole ‘WOKE’ concept meaningless.
Merriam Webster defines ‘woke’ this way:
‘Aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)’
Oh my God, how horrible!
Republicans need a new playbook or they will put themselves in the eternal trash bin.
